NES has assisted hundreds of clients to develop or
maintain industrial hygiene and occupational health and safety
programs to comply with OSHA regulations as well as reduce the
number of workplace accidents and workers compensation claims.
NES can develop new occupational health and safety programs
or can audit and/or revise clients’ existing programs to
comply with current regulations and workplace conditions and practices.
Program development will often involve an on-site visit, client
interview, and review of any existing documents to determine client
needs based on site conditions and client operations. NES
also develops and presents customized training programs to educate
employees on the elements of the health and safety plans, as well
as to satisfy regulatory requirements.
NES can provide assistance with the implementation of
elements within occupational health and safety programs, such
as performing qualitative or quantitative respirator fit testing.
NES also develops site-specific health and safety plans
for individual projects addressing specific hazards regulated
under the Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard
29 CFR 1910.120 such as hazardous waste construction and/or remediation
projects.
NES has developed and maintained numerous occupational
health and safety programs for city and county agencies as well
as private companies throughout California. The clients we currently
provide health and safety program assistance for are involved
in diverse operations with unique hazards, such as pyrotechnic
manufacturers, ballistic testing companies, wineries, analytical
laboratories, and wastewater treatment plants.
Examples of written health and safety plans that NES
can develop and/or provide assistance with include:
