Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Assessments
NES has extensive experience investigating “sick building syndrome” and “building-related illness” complaints, as well as providing a wide variety of proactive indoor air quality (IAQ) investigation and resolution services. IAQ investigative methodologies utilize standards and protocols developed by professional organizations and regulatory agencies.

Mold and Water Damage Assessments

NES investigates water/moisture pathways to source(s) and conducts moisture testing of building materials. NES conducts indoor and outdoor sampling of these sources using a variety of sampling techniques to determine the type and concentration of airborne fungi and bacteria. Based on the investigation results, our staff assists building owners and operators in interpreting the results and developing remediation protocols and specifications to mitigate microbial contamination.

Industrial Hygiene Assessments

NES has conducted hundreds of industrial hygiene assessments throughout California and across the United States. NES’ team includes Certified Industrial Hygienists, Certified Safety Professionals, Certified Asbestos Consultants, and Mold Specialists. NES can complete testing and monitoring to evaluate employee exposure to potential occupational hazards to determine compliance with regulatory occupational exposure standards. Based on analytical results, and the investigator's observations and interviews with personnel, NES can develop specific recommendations for various exposure control options.

NES is a nationally recognized leader in clandestine drug laboratory safety. NES performs clandestine laboratory assessments to evaluate potential contamination of building materials and contents due to illegal drug production and provide recommendations for effective remediation of impacted structures. NES can also complete post-remediation sampling to verify the success of the work and satisfy local regulatory agency requirements.
