Mid Level Environmental Health & Safety Specialist – Full Time

Position Summary
NES has an immediate opening for a mid-level EH&S Specialist in our Folsom, California office. Mid-Level Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to assist project/client managers by performing technical project tasks that include fieldwork, data analysis and report writing involving industrial hygiene and environmental, health and safety projects. Fieldwork may include conducting research/assessments, monitoring air quality by collecting samples or operating direct read instruments as well as collecting wipe/bulk samples for analysis. Projects include, but not limited to, personal/community exposure monitoring to chemical, biological and physical hazards (i.e. Workplace Personal Exposure Monitoring, Naturally Occurring Asbestos Air Quality Assessments, Mold and Clandestine Lab Assessments, etc.), environmental health & safety surveys/audits and program development such as EAP, IIPP, HMBP, Confined Space Entry Programs, SPCC Plans, SWPP Programs, Hazardous Waste Management Plans, Regulatory Permits, Emergency Response Programs and Contingency Planning to name a few. Other responsibilities include drafting reports and proposals and conducting EH&S training sessions/courses periodically.

Qualifications & Compensation
Candidates must have excellent communication skills, a technical aptitude and be computer literate, energetic, self-motivated, dependable, team oriented and maintain a professional appearance. Position requires BS degree, 5 years experience. EH&S professional certification, project management & business development skills/experience a plus. Some travel and clean driving record required.
