The seizures of marijuana grow houses have been increasing at an alarming rate over the past five years in North America. As the seizures increase the health and safety of the first responders tasked to respond and dismantle these indoor marijuana grows have also increased. NES has utilized its many knowledgeable law enforcement instructors as well as some international experts in marijuana grow houses to develop a site safety officer (SSO) course that would better prepare law enforcement personnel to safely respond and dismantle grow houses. The SSO Grow House course will cover the grow house techniques and operations, the chemical and physical hazards (including, fertilizers, electricity, and mold), the personal protective equipment used during response and dismantle, as well as dismantling and disposal techniques. These topics will be reinforced with hands-on practical exercises. All participants will receive a copy of the Marijuana Field Guide (Green Book). |
